Separate the website from the document task

Opening a website and processing a document are related actions, but they do not have to move the same information through the same path. A page can load its interface from a host while reading a selected file locally in your browser. YourFreePDF’s available PDF tools use that local approach: document operations run in a browser worker rather than a YourFreePDF processing server.

That describes the current application behavior, not a claim that every part of a browser session is free of device or hosting considerations. Understand the document path specifically instead of assuming that a general privacy label explains every component involved in using the site.

What a local worker does

A browser worker is a separate execution context that can perform processing without making the main interface handle all of the work directly. In YourFreePDF, selected documents are passed to a local worker for the enabled PDF operations. This helps keep the page responsive while the task runs.

It is not a promise that every file will process successfully regardless of size, complexity, or the device’s available memory. The application applies practical job limits, and complex sources can still require a smaller or different workflow. A worker also does not automatically sanitize a document or verify its content.

The output needs to be reviewed for the actual purpose of the task.

Inputs, temporary links, and downloads

The local workspace holds references to the files you select and creates a temporary browser link for the generated result. Closing the tool clears its selected references, terminates its workers, and revokes the result link. Your browser determines when memory is reclaimed, so this should not be described as guaranteed secure erasure.

A PDF you downloaded is a separate copy on your device and remains there after the tool closes. Review where your browser saves downloads and how that folder is managed. Local processing changes the document’s processing path, but it does not decide how long you keep a downloaded copy or who later receives it.

Read each tool’s availability separately

Not every document action can use the same implementation. Compression, OCR, Office conversion, password operations, true redaction, and AI workflows are planned and not connected in this version. Their pages explain that status and do not ask you to upload files for an unavailable service.

A future hosted processor would need its own clear information about what is sent, to whom, and how it is retained. Do not assume that the local behavior of one page automatically applies to every future feature bearing the same brand. Review the enabled action and the stated document handling before selecting material, especially when it is intended for a specific audience or governed by an existing organizational process.

Privacy is also about the copy you share

A local operation can keep file contents out of a conversion server while still producing a document that should not be sent to a particular recipient. Inspect the information in the output, including pages you may have forgotten were part of the source. A watermark is not permanent redaction, and a visible signature name is not identity verification.

A focused excerpt is useful, but it is not a blanket document-sanitization guarantee. Keep the original when you need a reliable reference, and review the saved copy rather than relying on the appearance of an unfinished preview. The final destination and audience remain part of the privacy decision after processing is complete.

Use clear limits and evidence

Available local YourFreePDF jobs are limited to 50 MB combined and 500 pages, with up to 20 files for actions that support multiple inputs. Inputs are unencrypted PDFs or supported JPG and PNG images. These limits help describe the current product but do not certify every document or device combination.

The site does not claim ISO 27001 certification, a verified hosted purge policy, or certificate-backed signing. Meaningful trust comes from accurately describing the behavior that exists and separating it from capabilities that have not been enabled. Read the tool instructions, keep useful source copies, and use the document-handling process appropriate to your actual work rather than relying on an impressive badge alone.

A quick destination check

Before sending a finished PDF, confirm the recipient and the exact copy you intend to share. Local processing does not remove visible personal details, change an email address you type elsewhere, or decide the appropriate audience for a document. Review the output and its destination as separate parts of the handoff.

Keep only the working copies you need in the places appropriate to your process. Clear file handling remains useful even when the document never passed through a conversion server.
